What's really on my mind lately

"You can't discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore because only those who risk can tell how far they can go." -http://shinjinoinbox.blogspot.com

Aside from being busy in work, I want to share you guys what's really on my mind. I've been reading Frank's blog, and stumbled upon this quote. I guess 2 years is pretty long for me. It's not because I'm pissed off on how they run things, but to explore other opportunities.

And to redeem myself from what I've done back in college.

I tried applying to IBM, but unfortunately, they can't hire me, even if they wanted to, because I'm working at an IBM Business Partner.

So much for my dream working at the big blue.

But that wouldn't stop me from applying. Because that's my dream. To work at the big blue - IBM. If there's a will, there's a way. I won't disclose my plans yet though. Just sit tight people.

Why IBM? Because I know most of their technologies. And the people there are really cool! :))

I remember my former classmate told me that IBM's going down the drain. And that I should apply to Accenture instead.

I don't wanna break your heart honey, but IBM doesn't go down the drain. IBM doesn't lose profit. As a matter of fact, they're also called the International Buying Machine. And IBM doesn't earn on software services alone, there's always hardware. :p

So screw you, and take your accenture ass back to St. Paul or wherever that is. LOL

Wow, that felt good. Like a breath of fresh air. :)

Part 2: GSIS - The Untold Story

I would like to apologize for the delay of part two. I've been really busy lately and I haven't got time to make the second part. Starting today I'll be posting one by one, highlight per highlight. Or whatever that means. lol
I haven’t told you guys what really happened in GSIS. Aside from the project’s downfall, I have experienced three days of straight programming – from Friday morning to Sunday evening… all we did was code. There were also times that we skipped meals just to meet the deadline. Most of the time my mind gets exhausted – unable to think on what to code next. We were given programs that were never assigned to us before, and we’re given the whole night just to fix those damn programs. And because we were unable to code due to mental fatigue, our project manager snapped. She began ranting, shouting stuff in the middle of the night that I can’t remember anymore.

Weeks before my contract would end, our HRD called me up, offering another assignment to Allied Bank.

Of course, I did the most logical choice. I chose Allied Bank.

Getting out from GSIS was like being released from prison.
